What We Do

Felementa is an engineering design company aimed at the development of digital twins of new and existing structures and components that can be used to continuously monitor their condition in real-time. The company’s mission is to “make structures smart” by equipping them with smart sensing capabilities to acquire data that can be employed within bespoke algorithms for damage identification and structural health monitoring purposes.

01
3D Model Development
Felementa specialises in the development of Three-dimensional models of existing or proposed structures and components. These models provide not only an accurate visual representation of the structure but can also be used for weight estimations, traditional structural analysis and design. This service may require building of models from scratch or reverse engineering.

02
Structural Analysis and Design
Using 2D or 3D models Felementa can perform traditional structural analysis and design including finite element analysis (FEA) on structures or component to ascertain their strength with respect to specific industry-based codes and standards. We cover structures and components for various industries such as Offshore Oil and Gas, Renewables, Aviation, Automobile and Hiways.

03
Digital Twinning
Felementa possesses the expertise to enhance 3D models with additional properties pertaining to temperature, pressure effects and vibration response used in creating unique digital twins of investigated structure or components. This enhancement enables a more accurate performance evaluation and condition monitoring and may include performance of non-destructive tests to acquire properties of interest.

04
Condition Monitoring
This service is at the core of Felementa's offerings. It involves the development of a bespoke algorithm from the analysis of a structure's (or component's) digital twin. This is followed by installation of permanent sensors on the investigated structure (or component) so that its response to environmental or operational loads can be acquired in real time and employed within the developed algorithm to monitor its condition continuously.
OUR SERVICES
Tailored solution for everyone.
Each structure or component is unique in its own right; therefore, we offer a tailored solution for each. Our services commence with an operational evaluation of the structure or component to be investigated. Next we propose a step-by-step approach to be followed in order to make the structure smart for condition monitoring. Some of the steps may include development of a 3D model of the structure, conduction of onsite modal testing and analysis, digital twinning of the structure or component, development of damage identification algorithms based on acquired modal data, experimental validation of damage identification algorithms, deployment of permanent sensors for continuous monitoring, creation of mobile and web-based applications to facilitate continuous monitoring.
